Sportbootführerschein Binnen (SBF Binnen, inland boating licence) with motor, SBF Binnen under sail, SBF See (coastal) and the fishing exam (Fischerprüfung) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. The class B driving licence will follow as soon as the licence for the official question catalogue is granted; further federal states for the fishing exam will be added one after the other.

Yes. The boating questions are taken unchanged from the official ELWIS catalogue (August 2023), the fishing exam questions from Annex 1 of the NRW fishing exam regulations (Fischerprüfungsordnung, recht.nrw.de). Every question cites its source.

No. The state publishes the questions without answers. Our answers come from matching, mutually independent angling club materials and are only released when at least two sources agree without contradiction. Questions without a verified answer remain unpublished.

Written part: 60 questions, 10 from each of six subject areas, in no more than 60 minutes. You pass if you answer at least 45 questions correctly – with at least 6 in each subject area. In addition there is fish identification (6 of 49 picture boards, at least 4 correct) and a practical part.

No. You start straight away as a guest; you only need an account to keep learning on several devices.

The questions stay in the German original, just as they appear in the exam. Translations and explanations are available in Persian and English; Arabic and Turkish will follow step by step. Translations are learning aids – the German text is authoritative.
